Double Promotion Success for Eirias Women's Hockey

Clwb Hoci Eirias is delighted to celebrate a remarkable season for our women's section, with both the Ladies 1s and Ladies 2s securing promotion for the 2026/27 season.

The Ladies 1s will step up to North West Division 1, having produced a season defined by attacking hockey, resilience and consistency. From emphatic victories over Crewe Vagrants and Brooklands to battling performances against the league's strongest sides, the team combined clinical finishing with a strong defensive foundation throughout the campaign. Outstanding contributions across the squad, from experienced players to emerging talent, helped deliver a promotion that is richly deserved.

Meanwhile, the Ladies 2s have earned promotion to North West Division 4 West after an outstanding season of their own. Week after week they demonstrated the strength and depth of women's hockey at Eirias, producing impressive victories over Northop Hall, Liverpool Sefton, Formby and Runcorn. Their first league defeat did not arrive until their penultimate game, a testament to the hard work, commitment and togetherness that characterised a campaign to remember.

What makes these achievements particularly special is that they reflect the growth of the entire women's section. Across all three women's teams, players have developed, stepped up through the club pathway and embraced opportunities at higher levels. The success of the 1s and 2s is built not only on results, but on the strength of a thriving women's programme that continues to develop talent and provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

As we look ahead to next season, competing in higher divisions will bring new challenges, but the determination, spirit and quality shown throughout this season suggest that Eirias Women's Hockey is more than ready for them.
